San Zhi – Abandoned Tourist Attraction
I came across a photo today:
This is San Zhi, Taiwan. It is an abandoned vacation resort on the northern coast – built in the early 80’s. Construction was never completed of the pod-like resort because a series of fatal accidents happened while building it. The resort was never opened and was left to rot.
Why not buy it up today and fix it up? The resort is reported to be haunted by the many souls who lost their life in the making of it (and some since then) who cannot move on because their work is going unappreciated. In the Asian culture this is a HUGE deal. People will not come to the site if it is rumored to be haunted and they will oppose the demolition and subsequent rebuilding because it would be a slap in the face to the souls who still remain there. It’s a catch 22 but the public is reaping the benefits through creepy self guided tours. Today you can still go and check it out on your own you just have to find it and from what I hear, its not easy to miss.
